The iCloud hosted birthday entries are stored separately in a Birthdays Subscription. After that similarity, iCloud and Outlook part ways and the opportunities for miscommunication begin. Both consider their own Contacts as the sole data source for information that they use to create and update their birthday calendar entries. The iCloud and Outlook design decisions about birthday calendars and their entries have led to miscommunication between I believe that this software does the syncing between Outlook and iCloud plus the initial sync of the iCloud hosted Email, Calendar, Contacts and Reminders (Tasks) with Outlook after software installation. When iCloud for Windows was installed on my PC, software called iCloud Outlook Add-In (APLZOD32.dll) was also installed on the PC as a new extension for Outlook. NoĬhanges were needed and made to reset anything to match the specifications listed in the article. I went thru the steps listed in the article during the installation of iCloud for Windows. Adding a contact with birthday through Outlook or iPhone makes it appear one day later on MacOS Contacts/Calendar. This means: adding a Contact with birthday on Big Sur makes it appear one day earlier on Outlook and iPhone Contacts/Calendar.

Any suggestions on how to solve this are welcome. I did not have it until my MacBookPro had a clean install with Big Sur.
On my iPhone (iOS14.7.1) the birthdays are still correct (synced with the same Exchange server) and in Outlook on my Mac (also syncing with the same Exchange server).įrom a google search I see that many people have had this issue and it seems unresolved. Birthdays show one day late in MacOS, correctly in iOS (synced through Exchange) Since doing a fresh install of Big Sur, my contact birthdays show one day off (later) in Calendar and Contacts on my MacBook Pro.
